Animal Rescue lifts the lid on the gruelling job of RSPCA inspectors in the Midlands and South Wales. From animals kept in appalling conditions to pets who have died in extraordinary and sometimes suspicious circumstances, the inspectors tackle cases of cruelty and neglect that often beg belief.

Animal Rescue follows the inspectors as they investigate crime and make tough decisions. Alongside some of their more gruesome tasks, the series also features some lighter and intriguing tales as the inspectors rescue a traumatised macaw dive-bombed by pigeons to the mystery of the missing python in a tower block.

Britain is supposed to be a nation of animal lovers. Animal Rescue will make you think again.
