Not Cricket: The Basil D’Oliveira Conspiracy
One of the great betrayals of modern sport.
In 1968 Basil D'Oliveira, a brilliant "Coloured" cricketer from South Africa who had made his home in the UK, found himself at the centre of a row that rocked the British political and sporting establishment.
With D'Oliveira himself speaking out for the very first time, and with the South African archives now open, the film shows the critical political role that cricket was able to play in bringing about the fall of Apartheid in South Africa.
